I read in a magazine that Paul Thomas Anderson may sign on for the film adaptation of Heartbreaking Work; screenplay by Eggers and Nick Hornby.

Today we took the kids up the hill to the park where Herbert Hoover is buried. It was actually kind of cool. It's nice that even after being president, he still represented for Iowa by being buried in his hometown.

Yesterday I caught CSPAN's rebroadcast of the infinitely entertaining shouting match between Bill O'Reilly and Al Franken. One thing this article didn't mention, however, was when O'Reilly sarcastically invited Franken, who is Jewish, over to his house and said, "Come on over, we'll have a a bagel!"

Tonight's Seinfeld was "The Contest". It was like rereading an incredibly good, satisfying short story.
