Last night's show at Gabe's went well, despite the fact that we didn't get our CDs in time. We are not too happy with Media Services of Omaha right now, because we paid them fifty dollars to ensure we'd have the discs on time. Needles to say, we'll be asking for that fifty dollars back.
But the show was good anyway. We had a bunch of friends show up in the fourth quarter for our set. Boy With Stick rocked my face off, as usual. They promised us wild time when we come play the house show in Minneapolis on Saturday night. ("Free chicks and beer," they said. "Or at least, free chicks.")
And while I love Iowa City, I'm looking forward to getting out and playing some other, different, venues. Tonight is the Vaudeville Mews in Des Moines. And we should have some CDs by then (touch wood*).
*This is the UK/Australian version of "knock on wood." Fucking weirdos. |
