Something for the kids.

My favorite children's book titles:

 I'm A Potty Champion!
 Calliou Watches Rosie
 Walter The Farting Dog
 Charlene Loves To Make Noise
 I'm Tougher Than Diabetes!

What Does It Take To Be Tougher Than Diabetes?

If you're going to defeat Diabetes this year, you'll have to train hard. You especially need to work on your backhand and your net game. I've seen you out there on the court: you're good, but you're not Diabetes good. Not yet. Let's take a look at Diabetes and her 2002 career highlights:

Despite oppressive heat and an insulin buildup, Diabetes successfully defended her Australian Open title against Martina Hingis. Diabetes fought off four match points in the second set to outlast Hingis 4-6, 7-6 (7), 6-2.

Diabetes reached the finals in Scottsdale and Miami, then lost both tournaments to Serena Williams, whose blood sugar levels were at an all-time high. While in Miami, Diabetes blinded four elderlies and caused two leg amputations.

Heading into the 2003 season, Diabetes is currently seeded ahead of Hemophilia, Crohn's Disease, Sickle Cell Anemia, and Anna Kournikova.

So it looks like, unless you're Serena Williams or a great big insulin injection, you'll have to work pretty damn hard to beat Diabetes. But you can do it, little girl with Diabetes!
