While partying with and staying at the home of our hosts in Warrensburg MO last night, I came to a conclusion which was at once comforting and unsettling: we're all the same. Everywhere we go, someone puts in a Flaming Lips or Outkast album, people quote The Big Lebowski and Mr Show, they have You Shall Know Our Velocity and Kicking & Screaming on the shelf, and we laugh at the same stupid jokes. It's not so bad, really. Makes me feel a little better when I'm homesick, which still happens embarassingly often at age 27.

Yesterday there was a stretch of drive where we listened to conservative talk radio. The topic was religion in the schools. Did you know that religion is already being taught in our public schools? It's the religion of "homosexuality, fraudulent environmentalism, and women's rights." Bet you didn't know that.

Artistic!
