It's the little things.

Like weatherstripping my windows and putting down carpet. Having a job interview downtown. Walking around the cold, sunny city. Hearing good news about the band. "Seinfeld" reruns. Letters from faraway friends. Sitting on the platform waiting for the train. Having my roommate come back. Sitting on the couch in front of the TV, both of us with our laptops. (We are so gay.) Listening to 10-year-old VIVID recordings. Sitting at the bar, drinking beer with an infinitely pretty girl, playing "Knowing Me, Knowing You" on the jukebox. Hugs on a crystal clear winter afternoon. Looking forward to the visits of old friends, and to the Low show tonight. Perfect winter music.
